Moorestown, New Jersey, located less than 30 miles from Philadelphia International Airport, has much to offer. In 1969, founding members of the Historical Society of Moorestown purchased the Smith-Cadbury Mansion, built in the early 1700s. Open to the public, the mansion now houses an extensive collection of historical documents and artifacts.
Located within the boundaries of Moorestown Township lies the unincorporated community of Moorestown-Lenola, which had a population of 14,217 in 2010. The same year, 20,726 persons resided in Moorestown Township itself, living in 7,450 households. Of these households, approximately 38 percent included children under age 18. Median household income was $108,655.
Public schools include four elementary schools, a middle school, and Moorestown High School. Some high school and post-secondary students from Moorestown attend the Burlington County Institute of Technology in either Westampton Township or Medford.
